What's the difference between red and infrared light?
Red light is a visible wavelength of light on the electromagnetic spectrum, typically between 630-700 nanometers. It's best at penetrating skin cells, stimulating collagen production which in turn helps to plump and soften the skin, improving the appearance of lines, wrinkles, sun damage, tone and texture. Because of its effect on collagen production, it may also help improve pain associated with arthritis.
Infrared light is an invisible wavelength, falling between 700-1200 nanometers on the electromagnetic spectrum. This longer wavelength allows the light to reach deeper tissues, alleviating chronic pain, inflammation, circulatory issues, and more. Infrared light is also felt by the body as heat. Because of this, detoxification and metabolic processes are stimulated when sweat glands are activated.
Which light is right for me?
MINUSCOLA: best for targeted beauty applications, this handheld device targets small areas like crows feet, smile lines, forehead wrinkles and more. This device is also perfect for post-surgical applications to help reduce the appearance and redness of scars after surgeries or lesion removals.
PICCOLA: best for use with beauty applications. Small, compact, easily transportable; this device is easy to set on a table or nightstand to enjoy hands-free.
MEDIA: perfect for those with beauty concerns as well as deeper issues like pain. It's larger than the Piccola, enabling more surface area to be addressed at one time, while still being easily transportable.
GRANDE: our largest and most powerful option. Grande is best suited for those with concerns like pain, athletic recovery, and circulatory issues with a larger target treatment area.
How do I use my device?
The light should be 6-12 inches from the body, with exposure on the targeted areas anywhere from 5-25 minutes. For best results, repeat 2-14 times per week until results are felt. The lights are all capable of standing on their own or being wall-mounted.
Is LED therapy safe?
While LED lights are safe to use without goggles, it is recommended to AVOID looking directly into the lights. Feeling a delicate warmth during treatment is normal.
